HSE Manager (m/f/d)

Other users of our vacuum-based processes include the life sciences, research, aerospace, packaging, heat treatment, laser cutting and many other industrial processes. We also leverage our expertise in vacuum technology to provide unique, toxic chemical analysis products for emergency response, security, and environmental health and safety.
Job Description
- Development of a new HSE concept at INFICON - planning, implementation, monitoring and optimization of operational processes in all HSE-relevant areas incl. familiarization with the integrated management systems as well as maintenance and further development of the environmental system in accordance with ISO 14001
- Coordination and monitoring of all safety, health and occupational safety topics, instructions and training as well as cooperation with all process owners with regard to HSE-relevant topics, including targeted and results-oriented cooperation with the members of the occupational safety committee as well as with other working groups and other stakeholders
- Takeover of the role of the occupational safety specialist, reporting to the CEO
- Advising management, executives and employees on various topics (e.g. new construction or conversion, acquisition of electrical equipment, PPE, ergonomics in the workplace, etc.)
- Coordination of existing representatives
- Regular site inspections and safety inspections
- Creation / updating of internal operating instructions, work instructions and safety manuals
- Monitoring the hazardous substance process and the hazardous substance release process
- Coordination and cooperation with approval and supervisory authorities
- Introduction of a comprehensive 5S concept
Qualifications
- University degree in engineering or safety engineering
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable position
- Business fluent English language skills
- Ability to work in a team and assertiveness
