The 1,200 sq. ft. lab brings together advanced instrumentation, machine platforms, and application expertise to support more than $100 million in installed machine assets. It enables faster response to the existing installation base and provides a controlled environment for pilot testing, feasibility studies and realistic process simulations. Here, teams can explore process behavior, refine design decisions, and evaluate new technology with precision and measurement certainty.

This expanded capability arrives at an important time when AI, automation, and digital workflows are reshaping expectations for production environments. The INFICON Americas Application Center provides a dedicated space where questions can be tested, new ideas can be validated, and high‑tech solutions can be translated into practical, scalable process strategies. It also dramatically improves support of installed base via unit up and running at all times.

Beyond hands‑on development work, the center provides capacity for both in‑person and large-scale video‑supported instruction and training, so teams can evaluate technologies, understand digital design parameters, and build confidence before implementing changes in the field. It is also used to support application‑specific proof‑of‑concept sessions, allowing new technology to be introduced and assessed in the right context.

"As we continue to prepare for unprecedented growth in RAC, Auto and Data Center segments, we realize superior knowledge and consultative selling are keys to differentiate, earn customer trust and gain profitable share," said Pierre Teszner, President of Global Sales Application and Services, INFICON. "This new Application Center and team will be crucial to secure expertise that leads to impactful discussions with our existing and new customers and eventually secure a pole position in those markets."

By creating a hub for smart process development, INFICON strengthens its ability to respond quickly to customer needs and provide deeper insight during product development cycles. The center enhances the company’s capabilities to define and translate complex process requirements, offer recommendations grounded in real‑world testing, and simulate a range of production conditions with high accuracy.

INFICON also has an Application Center in Guangzhou, P.R. China. Together, application engineers in these labs support customers across the globe.
