Responsible for all purchasing activities within an assigned project portfolio, particularly in the product development process
Development and definition of project-related purchasing strategies as well as supplier search, selection and evaluation in coordination with the strategic purchasing department
Disposition, planning, price evaluation and procurement of project-related items including obtaining and evaluating offers
Ensuring that samples, pre-production parts and services are delivered on time, in the correct quantity and quality in accordance with project requirements
Independent analysis of requirements and market conditions, identification of purchasing-relevant opportunities and risks of design and manufacturing concepts
Internal purchasing coordination: material cost optimization and initiation of long-term cost reduction activities, make-or-buy considerations
Communication with suppliers and project-related service providers as well as proactive support and cooperation with project management, strategic purchasing, development and other departments
Master data maintenance, active involvement in start-up and phase-out planning
Hybrid work is possible to a certain extent
Qualifications
Completed commercial or technical training with additional qualification (e.g. business administrator)
At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in purchasing of technical components and parts as well as experience in project purchasing
Experience in using ERP systems (ideally SAP/R3)
Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
Communicative personality with assertiveness and negotiation skills
Ability to make decisions, willingness to take responsibility and team spirit
