INFICON Introduces Hand-held Leak Detector

Syracuse, NY ? January 30, 2004: INFICON introduces the D-TEK Select Refrigerant Leak Detector with extended sensor life and consistent high sensitivity to new refrigerant blends. D-TEK Select combines the features of the field-proven INFICON D-TEK Refrigerant Leak Detector with enhanced capabilities for improved stability and lower cost of ownership in an easy-to-use compact design.

D-TEK Select infrared-absorption sensor technology has a life expectancy ten times better than traditional heated diode sensors and gives consistent performance throughout the lifetime of the sensor.

Indicators for low battery, charging status, and sensor failure allow the user to be proactive in maintaining the unit, improving productivity. D-TEK Select runs on nickel metal hydride batteries, eliminating corrosion and offering a greater charging capacity than other power sources.
