Specialists in application engineering are in short supply and therefore not easy to find. So INFICON looked internally for the best candidate to accept the offer of an exciting and innovative work environment , filled with breath-taking mountain scenery in the heart of Europe. It wasn’t an easy decision for Mitsunori Tamura from our Japan office to make, but he ultimately found the courage to exchange his usual environment for something completely different.
The differences between Japan and Liechtenstein are not limited to the size of cities or the landscape, but are also particularly evident in social and cultural life. Working life in Liechtenstein is much more open and less restrictive, while in Japan the emphasis is focused on strictness and precision. Mitsunori appreciates the open-minded atmosphere and that everybody is speaking up with confidence and enjoys a positive working atmosphere. In addition, the international environment creates exciting challenges to with people from all over the world.
Time flies. It’s been already five years since Mitsunori packed his bags and took the plunge. Even after all this time, he is still fascinated by the nature in the region, as well as his workplace in Balzers. There are just two things he has not yet been able to get accustomed to: Swiss German and the dark winters.
