Job Description

The Senior Preventive Maintenance & Engineering Lead provides technical leadership across preventive maintenance, fixtures, and maintenance systems, ensuring high equipment reliability and manufacturing robustness. This role is designed for a highly experienced mechanical engineer and combines hands‑on technical execution with system ownership and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and continuously improve preventive maintenance concepts for equipment, tools, and fixtures

  • Perform hands‑on maintenance activities on critical tools and during complex interventions or escalations

  • Improve existing fixtures and design, validate, and standardize new coating and production fixtures

  • Establish and own a robust maintenance system, including spare‑parts strategy, inventory definition, and replenishment models

  • Maintain fixtures, preventive maintenance plans, and spare‑parts inventories

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance, tooling, and equipment interfaces

  • Perform and coordinate metrology activities for tools, process re‑qualification, and cleanroom extensions

  • Lead troubleshooting of tool and process issues in collaboration with product engineering teams

  • Evaluate, qualify, and technically manage local suppliers for fixture manufacturing

  • Support local implementation of new products into high‑volume manufacturing (HVM)

  • Manage engineering changes, including drawings and documentation

  • Actively contribute to maintenance training, transferring standards, best practices, and technical know‑how

This position is a technical authority and system owner, with strong cross‑functional impact on production robustness, cost efficiency, and manufacturing scalability, fully aligned with senior engineering expertise.

Additional Information

The expected annual salary for this position is  116k. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit-sharing bonus with a target of 10%. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law
