The Material Handler is responsible for the accurate movement, delivery, and maintenance of inventory across warehouse and production areas. This role ensures adherence to inventory control standards, aligning physical material flow with systematic data accuracy. Working in coordination with the Inventory Control Group, the Material Handler supports operational efficiency, material integrity, and inventory accuracy throughout all logistics functions.
Essential Job Duties
Organize and stage materials efficiently and accurately with minimal supervision, ensuring quality standards are met and supporting timely delivery to customers.
Apply and maintain inventory control methods to ensure product and component accuracy on the production floor, including Kanban and point-of-use replenishment systems.
Safely transport materials throughout the facility, including cleanroom environments, in accordance with operational and safety guidelines.
Investigate inventory discrepancies to determine root cause and implement long-term corrective actions.
Utilize inventory control systems to track, retrieve, process, and deliver materials to production areas with a strong sense of urgency.
Collaborate with logistics and production teams to standardize and continuously improve inventory control processes.
Operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high standards for quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery.
Support all production areas and locations holding inventory, ensuring material availability and accuracy.
Perform data entry and reporting using Microsoft Office applications and current data collection systems.
Maintain, control, and monitor inventory transactions within the inventory management system with a high level of precision and accountability.
Basic Job Skills
Strong computer and process skills; proficiency in SAP, Excel, and Microsoft Office applications is highly recommended.
Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and maintain a strong sense of urgency.
Capable of meeting deadlines and performing well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
Skilled in the safe and efficient operation of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, VLMs, and material handling tools).
Qualifications
Employer Requirements
Experience in material handling operations preferred, with a focus on inventory control and production support.
Ability to adhere to established attendance, safety, quality, and performance standards.
Proficiency with computer systems such as Microsoft Office, SAP, Agile, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED and 0-2 years relevant experience

Require constant (5-8 hours/day) lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.

Additional Information
For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $38,480 and $45,760 per year.In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit sharing bonus with a target of 10%. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law
