This role contributes to success by analyzing the global forecast, implementing continuous improvement in both strategic and tactical planning methodology, and ensuring system engagement throughout the planning process. This position is pivotal in managing the global strategic production blueprint while guiding the production planners in tactical planning execution.
Essential Job Duties
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between multiple departments to build and maintain an effective SIOP process
Assist cross-functional team in developing standard ways of working with global counterparts
Comprehensive forecast analysis including manpower, machine, and material supply & demand, forecast attainment and creation of the operational forecast in SAP
Assist in establishing best practices across the tactical planning team, ensuring that practices support strategic planning methodology
Apply forecast methodology best practices and drive continuous improvement in the SIOP process
Assist with lead time analysis and develop standard lead time for products
Identify gating resources for all product lines and collaborate on the risk mitigation plan to meet market-requested lead time
Participate in new product development projects as primary planning representative
Key contributor in data flow to optimize purchasing strategies, inventory, material handling and manufacturing resources
Take key role in the implementation and execution of the SAP GIB Planning tool
Ensure data integrity of SAP system
Accountability for key performance indicators that measure plan and schedule execution and drive implementation of action plans
Actively participate, identify and lead continuous improvement projects
Collaboration with Purchasing, Production Development, Operations, Product Marketing, R&D and Project Management with the ability to influence and attain agreed upon executable plans
Qualifications
Basic Job Skills
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in risk and constraint mitigation, bottleneck analysis
Effective communicator with proven ability to work in a collaborative environment to achieve balanced business objectives
Proficient in SAP
Working knowledge of master data, production control, supply chain, manufacturing and the integration of these areas into the strategic and tactical planning environment

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of supply chain experience or 8+ years of supply chain experience in lieu of a degree
Experience with production planning, labor analysis and/or capacity planning
Experience in lean manufacturing, pull systems and SAP/GIB
Prefer experience in high-mix, low-volume technical industry
Prefer experience with complicated products built with multiple subassemblies

Additional Information
For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $68k and $102k per year. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit sharing bonus with a target of 10%. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
