This position will support the Planning team in analyzing factors that drive demand and optimizing inventory levels within SAP. This position is responsible for maintaining planning BOMs to drive forecast, reviewing safety stock, and collaborating with supply chain to mitigate risk.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze historical sales data to identify trends and patterns within product lines.
Analyze, monitor and adjust safety stock to improve reliability and minimize material inventory.
Review root cause analysis for material shortages, evaluate and implement preventative action.
Participate in regular meetings to present findings and recommendations.
Support as an SAP technical liaison for the planning team.
Support best practices across the strategic planning processes, including forecast methodology, sustainment activities and continuous improvement of the SIOP/S&OP process.
Support inventory management program and establish inventory strategies to meet market requested lead-time.
Review and maintain planning BOMs based on BOM structure and probability of usage.
Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure alignment of inventory targets to the forecast plan and the supply plan (order to demand, VMI, consignment, blanket orders, etc.)
Support planning initiatives for R&D and NPD projects (material risk mitigation, release planning, etc.)
Key contributor in data flow to optimize purchasing strategies, inventory, material handling and manufacturing resources.
Ensure data integrity of our SAP system.
Actively participate, identify and lead continuous improvement projects.
Collaboration with Purchasing, Production Development, Operations, Product Centers, R&D and Project Management with the ability to influence and attain agreed upon executable plans.
Qualifications
Required Skills
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite & SAP, GIB experience preferred.
Understanding of master data, production control, supply chain, manufacturing and the integration of these areas into the strategic and tactical planning environment.
Proficient in risk and constraint mitigation with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communicator with proven ability to work in a collaborative environment to achieve balanced business objectives with focus on customer satisfaction.
High level of proficiency in Excel, experience with Visual Basic preferred.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of 1-3 Years working within Planning or Logistics in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum of 1-3 Years working with SAP or similar ERP system.
Additional Information
For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $74k and $94k per year. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit sharing bonus with a target of 10%. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
