In this Business Development role you will enjoy fueling sales growth and market expansion for INFICON in the Americas, within the areas of instrumentation and critical sensor technologies specifically within the utility market.
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for generating interest and creating new company relationships for leak detection.
What you will do
Support Security and Energy Account Managers to facilitate approvals and sales of leak detection products
Demonstrate advantages of IRwin methane leak detector to utilities
Provide technical guidance to customers regarding the precise application of INFICON products
Submit monthly reports for business development activities
Provide Energy and Security segment leader and business units with feedback on competitive products, market trends, and application needs
Support the development of territory sales and marketing plans
Offer marketing assistance to the Business Line
Qualifications
4 years technical degree (preferred Engineering, Chemistry, Physics)
3-5 years of experience selling to utilities, transmission companies, mid stream.
A track record of establishing new customer connections and securing new customers.
Challenger sales acumen; value selling competency
Persistent, winning mentality
Skilled in conveying strategic plans with a deep understanding of key account stakeholders
Strong presentation skills and a solid grasp of our products and their potential applications
Versed in software tools, encompassing CRM and MS Office applications
Effective negotiation skills
Proficient in project tracking to proactively tackle potential challenges
Must have the ability to work independently
Knowledge of Natural Gas Value Chain - from Mid-Stream to Transportation and Utilities would be beneficial.
Additional Information
The expected salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $90,000 per year.In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit sharing bonus with a target of 10% The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
