Refrigerant leaks cost money, harm the environment, and increasingly run into tightening regulations. With CFCs and HCFCs already phased out and HFCs on the same path, every gram of refrigerant lost matters more than ever. This webinar covers everything you need to know to get the most out of our portable refrigerant leak detection tools.
The session starts with the "why": environmental regulations (GWP, ODP), the evolving refrigerant landscape from HFCs to next-generation HFOs and A2L blends, and the rising cost of refrigerant replacement. From there, it moves into hands-on training on our D-TEK Stratus and TEK-Mate detectors. You'll learn how to operate each device, including measurement modes like Cloud Hunting for scanning large areas, Pinpoint for isolating exact leak locations, and Manual Zero for working in contaminated environments. The session also covers infrared sensor technology, specifications (detection down to 1 g/yr in Super mode, 1 ppm resolution), and compatibility across all major refrigerant types including HFCs, HFOs, CO2, and flammable refrigerants.
Practical tips round out the webinar: proper warm-up procedures, scanning speed for accurate results, sensor maintenance and cleaning, troubleshooting common issues, and verification best practices.
